Why does C-support want to collaborate?
Not much is known about long COVID yet. Why do some people have long-term complaints after a COVID infection? How many people are involved? That is why it is important that we work together and share knowledge and insights with each other. In this way, we can limit the consequences of long COVID as much as possible. That is an important lesson we learned from the Q fever epidemic. At that time, aftercare only started seven years after the outbreak. For many people, that was too late. Timely aftercare is very important in recovery from an infectious disease. In this way, we can prevent worse.
Who do we work with?
C-support is a network organization. We work together and share knowledge and insights with (care) professionals who deal with post-COVID. We consult with general practitioners, medical specialists and company doctors. But also with umbrella organizations of care providers, various governments and institutions such as UWV, Centrum Werk Gezondheid and Longfonds. We are part of the post-COVID Network Netherlands (PCNN).
Only together can we tackle the consequences for all areas of life of people with post-COVID.
What can C-support do for you?
We support and advise you as a professional in various ways. For example, by talking to one of our medical advisors about the long-term corona complaints of your patients. You can contact us for a collegial consultation or training requests.
We work on the basis of an academic triad: for us, care, research and education are inextricably linked.
Education and research
C-support does not have a research budget, but we do stimulate research into (the consequences of) COVID-19 and assess research applications, for example for ZonMw. Our aftercare advisors and medical advisors also provide training and refresher courses and also provide these for external professionals. We are happy to help you with your own training session or a customized refresher course.

Patients can register themselves with C-support via our website, you do not need to refer them. Patients who still have complaints more than three months after a Covid-19 infection can register with us. We provide advice if, for example, there are questions about persistent complaints, recovery care or problems at work. We do not provide direct medical treatment.
